Bryant Park Shakespeare Presents Macbeth

August 22, 2018

Beginning this Friday, Bryant Park Shakespeare winds up another great season with a production of Macbeth performed by The Drilling Company. The troupe has put a Gangs of New York twist on the Bard’s most famous play, set in the mid-1800s when early settlers fought for turf in the infamous Five Points area.

This production is performed on the Upper Terrace and, as it is part of Bryant Park Picnics, everyone is invited to spread out on the Lawn and enjoy the show. More than 100 blankets are available to borrow for no charge at the Bryant Park Shop + Info tent. Food curated by Hester Street Fair is available for purchase, as is beer and wine, and juggling, giant Jenga and more activities are open to all.

Showtimes for Macbeth are 7pm–9pm on Friday, August 24 and Saturday, August 25, and follows the same schedule on the following two weekends, with the final performance on Saturday, September 8.
