Test your coordination and dexterity with free juggling lessons in the park. All skill levels are welcome to join in the fun. Equipment is provided.

 

Take advantage of free beginner group skating lessons for adults on select Monday afternoons. The hour-long class is half formal instruction, half structured practice. Pre-register at Eventbrite

Class starts promptly at 1pm. We recommend that you arrive at least 20 minutes early to check-in, put on your skates, and stow your belongings in a locker. You may bring your own skates and lock; skate rental is $20 per person and locks are $10.

All lessons are taught by certified Skate Coaches from Bryant Park's own Skate School. Skate Rentals and Bag Check are not included.

Participants must be 18 years of age or older.

Pre-Registration closes at 9am the morning of the lesson.

Join The Rise NYC, a community-driven pop-up fitness group, for a Boot Camp on the Fountain Terrace, on the Sixth Avenue side of the park. Rotations through exercises like crunches, planks, push-ups, burpees, and mountain climbers ensure a mixture of cardio and strength training that will keep you coming back--and seeing results. 

No equipment necessary; smiles and high-fives encouraged. Rain or shine.

Join us for an enjoyable walking tour of Bryant Park, and discover how Bryant Park Corporation successfully transformed "Needle Park" of the 1970s into Manhattan's Town Square of today. Our guides are loaded with expertise on the park's rich history, award-winning design, distinct amenities, and ongoing maintenance efforts.

Registration is required. Click here to register with Eventbrite. Please arrive at the Fountain by 10:55am to check-in with the guide. Tour will depart promptly at 11am.

FAQs

What is your cancellation policy?
Tours will continue as scheduled in light rain, but will be cancelled in heavy rain or inclement weather.

How large are tour groups?
Tours are capped at 20 participants. Please contact tours@urbanmgt.com if you plan to attend with a group larger than six people.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No need!

Work up a sweat on the Rink with an on-ice circuit workout. Expect exercises used by figure and hockey skaters that will make you a better skater. Please register at Eventbrite.

Class starts promptly at 8am. We recommend that you arrive at least 20 minutes early to check-in, put on your skates, and stow your belongings in a locker. You may bring your own skates and lock; skate rental is $20 per person and locks are $10.

Showers and towels are not provided. 

This class is recommended for competent skaters. Participants should feel comfortable with stopping, moving forward, and skating without holding onto anything. If you're interested in free skating lessons, check out our Lunch Break Lessons

The Rink is open to the public during Exerskate sessions.

Come visit an urban interpretation of an “ice” castle – it’s constructed from giant modular building blocks! Come nightfall, the castle is washed in dramatic uplighting. Best viewed from the 6th Avenue entrance of the park. 

 

The rink is closed to the public from 3:30pm-6:45pm for the Winter Carnival Opening Night Skating Showcase. The rink will reopen immediately after the performances end at 6:45pm.

The Pavilion will remain open during this time period.

 

A frosty celebration!

While you’re there, join in a virtual snowball fight and watch your name climb the live leaderboard. Daily prizes awarded.

StoryTime will be held in Overlook, located on the second floor of the Skating Pavilion at Bank of America Winter Village Village at Bryant Park. 

There will be free books for attendees, while supplies last, courtesy of our partners at Penguin Random House.

Kids can also obtain a StoryTime Card and start earning their way to free skate rentals and lessons at The Rink.

Kids who get their card stamped at one StoryTime session, and attend one program at the Children’s Center at the New York Public Library (or read one library book there), will receive one free skate rental. Attendance at three StoryTime programs at Overlook wins the card-bearer a skate rental plus one for an adult as well, and all participants are automatically entered in a raffle to win a free Learn-to-Skate lesson.

Sweep sweep sweep! We'll have professional instructors and equipment on hand to teach you how to play this classic oddball winter sport.

Line will form on eastern edge of ice rink. Skates not permitted - shoes only. Do not go through the Skating Pavilion to access this activity. Open Skating will be available on the rest of the Rink as usual.
