Experience some of the best players in jazz and classical music, all under one bill
The two-day music festival is a rare opportunity to experience some of the most sophisticated music being created today.
Each day focuses on a prominent composer who has created significant classical and jazz works. Grammy-winning jazz pianist, Billy Childs is featured on Friday with his quartet, as well as his classical compositions for brass and wind quintet. On Saturday, dynamic classical works, jazz, and a hip hop set are part of the musical exploration of Derek Bermel, the multi-award winning composer and clarinetist.
The festival features standards and new works, including commissions and world premieres, and is produced with Chamber Music America and curated by composer and saxophonist Patrick Zimmerli. Food and drink curated by Hester Street Fair available for purchase.
