Bryant Park Tai Chi Extended

August 28, 2020

Tai Chi has been a regular Bryant Park program for more than 15 years, and after a brief spring hiatus it returned for in-person instruction at the end of July. Originally only intended to run through August, we are excited to announce that Tai Chi sessions have been extended for an additional month, with the final class scheduled for September 29.

It is no surprise that Tai Chi has been met with such an enthusiastic reaction; this traditional Chinese exercise works on deep breathing, optimal alignment, relaxation, and mind/body connection. It is designed by Grandmaster C K Chu to improve balance, coordination, flexibility, strength, circulation, and manage stress. After traditional chi kung exercises, the Instructor, Ming-I Huang, will also lead the full set of Yang style Tai Chi short form practice. Bryant Park is wonderfully peaceful in the morning, and Tai Chi is the perfect way to channel that energy and focus on your well-being.

Classes meet every Tuesday, 7:30am-8:30am, on the Fountain Terrace. All ages and skill levels are welcome, and classes will be held rain or shine. Please check our website and social media pages for updates.
