Movie Nights Schedule Released

May 9, 2019

The 2019 schedule for Bryant Park Movie Nights presented by Netflix has been announced, and features a line-up of laughs, tears, swoons, screams, and everything in between. New this year, Movie Nights introduces two Fan Choice nights where moviegoers will vote for their picks to play on June 24 and August 12 via @Vulture and @NetflixFilm on Twitter.

Here’s the schedule:

  • June 10: Big. A 12-year-old kid (Tom Hanks) gets his wish and wakes up all grown up in Penny Marshall’s classic comedy.

  • June 17: Big Daddy. Adam Sandler adopts a kid to impress his girlfriend and things go awry.

  • June 24: Fan Choice (Options for the first Fan Choice night will be on Twitter @vulture on June 3.)

  • July 1: To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. Netflix’s charming teen rom-com hit from 2018.

  • July 8: Carrie (1976). Sissy Spacek wreaks revenge, big-time, in Brian DePalma’s shocker. John Travolta, Nancy Allen, and P.J. Soles co-star.

  • July 15: Bad Boys. Two detectives (Will Smith and Martin Lawrence) chase drug dealers through Miami, Michael Bay-style.

  • July 22: Coming to America. Eddie Murphy stars as an African prince who seeks, and finds, love in America.

  • July 29: Goodfellas. Martin Scorsese’s tour-de-force has legendary camera work and an amazing cast that includes Ray Liotta, Robert De Niro, and a very scary Joe Pesci.

  • August 5: Anchorman. Will Farrell, Steve Carell, and the others on San Diego’s dimmest news team struggle to accept a female newcomer (Christina Applegate).

  • August 12: Fan Choice (Options for the second Fan Choice night will be on Twitter @vulture on July 22.)

There’s nothing like sprawling on the Lawn, enjoying a picnic feast, chatting with your neighbors, and watching a movie at Bryant Park. As usual, Hester Street Fair will bring a curated selection of local vendors serving up food and drinks on the Fountain Terrace. Additionally, Chandon will add some sparkle from the vineyards of Napa Valley to these summer nights as the official sparkling wine of the series.
