New York City Opera 75th Anniversary Concert

New York City Opera (NYCO) turns 75 this year, and to celebrate, the company is presenting a 75th Anniversary Concert at Bryant Park next Monday.

This special edition of Opera is the finale for the 2019 season of Picnic Performances and features an all-star slate of NYCO performers. The lineup includes soloists Michael Chioldi, Lisa Chavez, Mark Rucker, Brandie Sutton, Won Whi Choi, Kristin Sampson, Mark Delavan, Inna Dukach, and Megan Picerno, backed by a 30-member chorus and accompanied by a 30-piece orchestra led by a quartet of conductors: Carolyn Kuan, Steven Osgood, Gil Rose, and James Lowe.  Narrating the concert is NYCO's General Director Michael Capasso.

NYCO’s 75th Anniversary Concert is performed on the Bryant Park Stage Monday, September 9, from 6pm-8pm.

Picnic Performances, presented by Bank of America is an informal and welcoming way to experience world-class performing arts while enjoying a summer picnic. More than 200 blankets are available to borrow at the Bryant Park Shop + Info tent, and food and drink are available for purchase.
