Ribbon Dancing Coming to Overlook

January 8, 2020

Ribbon Dancing, which debuted last June on the Fifth Avenue Terrace and provided colorful exercise sessions all summer long, is coming back to the park for a winter engagement, this time in Overlook.

This visually stunning Chinese folk art provides a surprising amount of cardio while giving you free rein to explore your artistic side. As in the summer, classes are taught by Margaret Yuen from Red Silk Dancers, who will have you creating rainbows, waterfalls, dragons, and ocean waves in no time.

Ribbon Dancing sessions are at Overlook every Thursday, 4pm-5pm, January 16 - February 27. There’s music to set the tone, and a limited quantity of ribbons are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own, of course. If you are interested in participating, you can view the details, and RSVP, at Eventbrite.
