Hopalong Andrew's Urban Cowpoke Roundup

Former Urban Park Ranger Hopalong Andrew celebrates nature and the richness of city life — the energy, diversity, and sense of possibility — with this highly interactive program that captures the fun-loving “can-do” spirit of the American West. Hopalong Andrew performs solo as a one-man band, with all kinds of instruments. He is the critics' favorite in the New York Times, New York Magazine, and Time Out New York. This program is filled with music and movement celebrating New York City life and urban wildlife: nature, history, parks, people, and, of course, Urban Cowpokes!  Whimsical and musical, fun for parents and grandparents who will love the playful lyrics and citified homages to the classic cowboy songs of the silver screen, along with energetic lasso demonstrations and hijinks!

Generally speaking, suitable for ages 0-12, but Hopalong Andrew always tailors his performances to suit the crowd and the room in real time, entertaining all — especially the adults and older adults who grew up during the golden age of the pop-cultural cowboy!

About Hopalong Andrew:

New York City’s beloved singing cowboy, Hopalong Andrew’s clever and whimsical songs celebrate city life and honor cowpoke history— the energy, diversity, and sense of possibility. His high-spirited concerts embody the fun-loving “can-do” spirit of the American West, with music, lassos, and hijinx. Hopalong Andrew is a critic’s favorite in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and family press; and a family favorite touring nationally with appearances at Wolf Trap Nat’l Park, Levitt Pavilion Westport, Opry City Stage, and more. Who will lasso you a cab in the rain while playing the “William Tell” Overture on harmonica? Hopalong Andrew, that’s who!
