Staring Nikki Blonsky and directed by Adam Shankman. (2007)
In 1960s Baltimore, dance-loving teen Tracy Turnblad (Nikki Blonsky) auditions for a position on "The Corny Collins Show" and wins. She turn out to be an overnight celebrity, a trendsetter in dance, fun and fashion. Perhaps her new status as a teen sensation is enough to overthrow Corny's reigning dance queen and bring racial integration to the show.
Hester Street Fair brings the city’s best vendors to the Fountain Terrace every movie Monday, 4pm-8:30pm.
Starting 5pm, stop by our wine and beer area at the back of the lawn for summer-ready drinks, featuring special offerings from Stout NYC.
Get your blanket ready: the lawn opens 5pm! The gravel area surrounding the lawn opens 4pm.
If the lawn is very wet from rain, it's possible that it will be closed for Movie Nights, but the movie will go on. Also, the movie could go on during rain, depenging on severity, but the lawn would be closed. In both cases, you may sit in chairs in the gravel area, or elsewhere in the park.
There are no rain nights for movies, so we don't like to cancel! We will not announce weather cancellations until the day of the event, and close to the event time. Feel free to message us on social media @bryantparknyc with questions day of!
