We are excited to have our free Wednesday evening yoga class back on the lawn! Registration is required this year, and please bring your own mat*, water, and a towel as needed. Masks are recommended, and attendance will be capped to allow for proper social distancing.
*Bryant Park is not supplying yoga mats for class. Be sure to bring your own!
Maya Baron has been enthusiastically teaching yoga for over two decades. Some of her favorite yoga classes to share are blends of slow flow, Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin Yang Aerial, Nidra Meditation, Chair, Bhakti, and Laughter in Letting Go Yoga. In addition to multiple yoga certifications, Maya is a certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor, Corrective Exercise Specialist, aquatics instructor, Pilates instructor, and licensed massage therapist. As a kindergartener, Maya treasures memories of being inspired by learning simple yoga principles and practices from her parents. Consistently rooted in the creative movement arts, Maya finds her commitment to her yoga practices within the community the most fueling. Maya thrives on designing accessible classes that inspire connection to our best selves.
Shannan is a self-proclaimed fitness enthusiast. Fitness and athletics have been a part of her life since before she can remember. She holds a Master of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Westfield State University and a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She started out as a personal trainer and fell in love with all forms of movement and therefore got certified in group fitness, 200 yoga ytt, Pilates as well as several other certifications. Yoga and Meditation have been her passion over the past few years, aligning the physical self with mental awareness. Her goal for fitness is to help and inspire others to find joy in all forms of movement.

We recommend arriving to class 15 minutes early so you can check in and roll out your mat. Please note: this summer the park is not providing mats, so bring your own!
