World Tai Chi Day

Saturday, April 24, 9:30am–11:00am

Fountain Terrace

Celebrate World Tai Chi day and welcome the 18th year of Tai Chi classes at Bryant Park. World Tai Chi day at Bryant Park will open with a demonstration of the Yang-style at 9:30am, cycling though the 37 different movements known to short form Tai Chi. At 10am, participants are welcome to join in and follow along to the Eternal Spring Chi Kung exercises. Participants will be required to wear a mask and maintain social distance.

World Tai Chi Day celebrations have a special meaning this year in solidarity with the movement to Stop AAPI Hate.

The demonstration and class will take place on the Eastern side of the fountain, towards the Lawn, in order to have space for adequate social distancing.

Instruction is provided by the Ck Chu Tai Chi, one of North America's best know Tai Chi schools and a Bryant Park neighbor since 1973.

Part of the Tai Chi program.
