The architectural tributes are flowing fast in the coronavirus battle — landmarks lit up in blue, Rockefeller ice skating rink showing #NewYorkTough. Today, Bryant Park revealed a heart created in its newly seeded 1.1-acre lawn in the middle of Midtown Manhattan. According to Bryant Park Corporation Executive Director Dan Biederman, “It’s a message of love to all New Yorkers, especially essential workers, who are weathering the pandemic crisis in a heroic way.”

In the middle of everything going on, Bryant Park recently finished its annual transition from ice skating rink to green lawn. Bryant Park intends to still open the lawn to the public in early May as usual but will implement social distancing regulations.
