American Symphony Orchestra Live in Bryant Park

August 1, 2020

Live music has been scarce this summer, but enthusiasts will be able to enjoy four world class performances when Bryant Park hosts a string quartet featuring musicians from the American Symphony Orchestra (ASO) for a series of pop-up shows in September. One of the premier orchestral groups in the country, ASO has been delighting audiences since 1962 with concerts featuring  “musical works … curated around ideas drawn from a variety of disciplines such as history, visual arts, science, politics and literature.”

The intimate shows will be held on September 14, 16, 21, and 23, 5:30pm-6:30pm, on the Upper Terrace. All performances are first-come, first served, and audiences will be capped at 50 people. Can’t make it in person? The shows on September 14 and 21 will also be live streamed on the Bryant Park Facebook and Instagram feeds. Attendees are encouraged to wear masks and practice social distancing. We look forward to seeing you there!
