Bryant Park Yoga Returns Online

May 1, 2020

Bryant Park’s phenomenally popular Yoga program wasn’t scheduled to begin until late May, but we know that people crave physical activity and mindfulness now more than ever. We therefore decided to start the season early and move sessions online to include as many participants as possible. With help from your favorite instructors, virtual Bryant Park Yoga invites you to perfect your downward dog at home, with live classes hosted on our Instagram page.

Virtual Bryant Park Yoga is free and open to everyone, and takes place on Tuesdays, 10am-11am; and Wednesdays, 6pm-7pm. This evening’s session is led by Dana Flynn. Next Tuesday, May 26, the instructor is Jeff Posner and on Wednesday, May 27, the instructor will be Lauren Taus. The complete schedule is available on our website.

Yoga is a great exercise for the whole family, and just like at the park, classes are geared for yogis of all skill levels. We encourage everyone to give these classes a shot, even if you never attended the outdoor sessions. This is a new type of program for us, and we would love to get your feedback on what you like about the virtual sessions, and how they can be improved.

In the meantime, we’re thinking of ways to safely bring Yoga back to Bryant Park in-person, and we’ll keep you updated through MidCity News, as well as our Twitter and Facebook feeds.
