Fleeting Frozen Fountain

One really shouldn’t complain about a mild winter, but there is one major drawback for Manhattanites: the lack of sub-freezing temperatures means minimal opportunities for Bryant Park’s Josephine Shaw Lowell Memorial Fountain to freeze over and become a sculpture crafted by mother nature herself.

The mid-January cold snap did provide a fleeting glimpse of our world-famous Frozen Fountain, and it was an amazing sight. While we aren’t wishing for too much more winter, a few more days of arctic weather might be in order, during which we could be treated to another frozen masterpiece.
