Non-Fiction Returns to the Reading Room

July 11, 2018

Bryant Park Reading Room’s popular series, Non-Fiction, kicks off its 2018 season tonight as Kyle Longley, Professor of History at Arizona State University, discusses his latest book, LBJ’s 1968: Power, Politics, and the Presidency in America’s Year of Upheaval.

One of the Reading Room’s most popular series, Non-Fiction is produced in partnership with the New-York Historical Society and brings the nation’s top historians to the park for fascinating talks on American history. This year’s lineup includes authors of books on historical figures from George Washington to Lyndon Johnson, and on important topics including the fight for women’s suffrage, Sherman’s March to the Sea, and America in the 1950’s.

Non-Fiction meets at the Reading Room on Wednesdays, 7pm–8:30pm, from July 11 – August 29. Our retail partner Kinokuniya Books is on hand at each session, making available for purchase the book being discussed.
