Seasonal Panel Graphics Shift to Spring

April 5, 2018

Visitors approaching the southwestern corner of Bryant Park are given a good idea of what’s inside by the large triptych of photos mounted on the structure that sits at that location. This trompe l’oeil montage is switched out twice a year.

From late October until early March, pedestrians saw scenes of winter at the park (skaters, the Christmas tree, and the structures comprising our winter programming). One day in March, a pedestrian walking past the powerhouse twice within an hour might well have done a double-take, because in a matter of minutes, we switched out the winter triptych and installed one displaying a lush, springtime panorama, including flowers, the Lawn, and plenty of Bryant Park bistro chairs.

We like doing these things quickly. Not only do we want to cause minimal disruption, we’re just as impatient as everyone else for spring to arrive.
