Stay Connected With Online Fitness

April 8, 2020

If you’re a regular at any of the fitness classes offered by Bryant Park Corporation and 34th Street Partnership, you may be struggling with how to stay in shape while those programs are on pause during the Coronavirus outbreak.

If so, you’re in luck! Many of our partners from the programs you love are stepping up by offering free sessions online. Check the Things to Do and Online Classes and Events pages on the Bryant Park and 34th Street websites for up-to-the-minute information on all online programming.

Here’s a list of Bryant Park partners that are helping you stay fit

  • Limón Dance Company, which has offered Moves with Limón on Bryant Park’s lawn since 2011. The company, utilizing the famous Limón Technique emphasizing fall and recovery and the interplay between weight and weightlessness, offers free 45-minute modern dance classes on its Instagram page daily, 3pm-3:45pm. The complete schedule can be found here.
  • CorePower Yoga believes that we need yoga now more than ever. Click here for a collection of free online classes, updated every week, to keep your skills sharp.
  • Pure Barre offers free classes on its Facebook page, a free Foundations 1 full body workout through their website, and a free trial for further classes.
  • Gaiam, which generously provides colorful mats for attendees of the country’s largest continuing outdoor yoga series at Bryant Park, now has an app that makes it easy to start your free trial of premium yoga and meditation classes.
  • PopSugar provides access to more than 500 free online workouts.

Two partners from Kids Week at Bank of America Winter Village are also providing online content:

Sweat34, 34th Street’s exciting array of fitness and wellness classes, will also be back later this year. In the meantime, our partner 305 Fitness offers free online classes, including Morning Meditation on weekdays from 8:30am-9am, and free online workouts at noon and 6pm. Click here for their complete list of digital events.

The great Talia Castro-Pozo, who hosts Midtown Salsa on Broadway Boulevard and Dance Party at Bryant Park, is also presenting free virtual salsa classes on her Facebook page.

We thank all of our partners for going the extra yard and making these programs available online, and we urge one and all to take advantage of them. They’ll break up the day, and leave you feeling terrific.
