Chopstick Art products are made from recycled bamboo chopsticks. Bryan started this business in 2003 while studying Chinese in Southern China. He was struck by the large amount of single use bamboo chopsticks that were thrown out every day and decided to try to figure out a way to re-purpose the chopsticks. After more than a year of investigating ways to collect, sanitize and color the chopsticks, as well as doing the initial designs, Chopstick Art was born. We focus on making functional art that also starts dialogue about the importance of recycling and re-using what we already have. To date we have successfully reclaimed over 3 million bamboo chopsticks and turned them into art!
