Transition to Spring at Bryant Park
The recent snow will melt soon enough, and New Yorkers will then find themselves on the verge of spring. The temptation is to hunker down and wait it out, but for those who work or live in Midtown, there are other options. Even with Bank of America Winter Village closed for the season and most of our warm-weather amenities still a month away, there are a lot of reasons to visit Bryant Park right now.
One of the most interesting things about March at Bryant Park is, of course, its transformation from winter wonderland to summer playground. Incredibly, at the same location where thousands of people skated and celebrated winter, visitors will soon be attending performances, taking classes, participating in activities, and sprawling on the Lawn. You can either come and watch the changeover up close, or visit our webcam and observe from home or the office.
If you come to the park, take advantage of everything else we have to offer. Le Carrousel is open daily, 11am–7pm. Ping Pong and Pétanque aren’t staffed just yet, but everyone is welcome to bring their own equipment and enjoy. The jugglers will be on the Upper Terrace each weekday, 12pm-1pm, Boot Camp with The Rise NYC meets at the Fountain Terrace 6:30am-7am each Wednesday, and a free Park Tour is always a rewarding experience.
As spring approaches, keep an eye on our website for updates about our programming calendar for the upcoming season.
