Transportation Day
Scoot, zoom, and chug along at Bryant Park as we explore how people and things travel from one place to the next. Navigate around the deck on scooter boards, float boats in the fountain, grab a seat on a play pretend train, and be sure to visit Overlook for songs and crafts led by Ben Bryden and The Redbirds Band.
Scroll below for this day's schedule, and more events for kids! Also be sure to check out the Kids Skate, which happens every morning during Kids Week.
Sing-song-craft-a-long
10am-noon in Overlook
The Redbirds draw upon decades of teaching artist experience to bring the magic of transit to life through sound, science, sign language and sing-along!
To enter Overlook, the second-story indoor pavilion looking over the rink, find the staircase near the southeast corner of the rink. Outdoor, unattended stroller parking will be available nearby.
Scooter Board Jam
9:30am-noon on the eastern grey deck
Hop on a scooter board and wiggle your way through our scooter course. Be sure to watch out for other scooter riders and follow all traffic signs!
Float your Boat
9:30a-noon at the fountain
Learn to fold paper and make your own origami boat. Then, bring your prototype over to the fountain and let it set sail! Experiment with different types of paper and folds to make the best float.
Play Pretend Train
9:30am-noon on the NW corner of the rink deck
Climb in and hop aboard the Winter Express! Use your imagination to bring our play structure to life.
