Live After Dark: Nour Harkati
Visit The Lodge and enjoy intimate concerts with talented local artists.
Singer/songwriter Nour Harkati draws creative inspiration both from his birthplace of Tunisia and from his nomadic exploration of the lands and disparate sounds of North Africa, Europe, and New York City. Spiced with enigmatic strings, handclaps, muted brass and Harkati's warm vibrato voice, these are songs that transliterate their Tunisian lyrics into the beautiful and familiar language of a busker's entreaty to stop and appreciate rare beauty. presents a live performance of his most recent releases, a dreamy and delicately filigreed fusion of indie pop and traditional Arabic music. These wistfully nostalgic tracks provide insight into Harkati's journey and the future of folk music.
