Wayne’s World (1986)
Starring Mike Myers, directed by Penelope Spheeris
A big screen spin-off of the "Saturday Night Live" skit. Rob Lowe plays a producer that wants to take the public access "Wayne's World" to the world of commercial television. Wayne (Mike Myers) and Garth (Dana Carvey) battle to save their show and Wayne's girlfriend from Lowe.
- The gravel opens at 4pm
- The lawn opens at 5pm, weather permitting, for blankets and picnicking
- You are welcome to bring a picnic (we also have food and drink available to purchase on site)
- Films begin at 8pm
- All packages including bags, briefcases, and backpacks are subject to inspections
- Dogs and other pets are not allowed on the lawn
- No chairs, tables, and/or plastic ground coverings (including sheets, tarps, bags, pads, and/or yoga mats) are permitted on the lawn
- Forgot a blanket? Purchase one at the Bryant Park Shop on the Fountain Terrace
- Bathrooms are located on the 42nd Street side of the park and on the 40th Street side near the carousel
- Hester Street Fair hosts vendors on the Fountain Terrace with drink and delicious snack and meal options
- Beer and wine are availale for purchase to the left of the screen
- Captions are displayed for each film
For the protection of all Movie Nights attendees, all bags, briefcases, backpacks, etc. will be subject to inspection before entering the lawn area (the lawn and surrounding gravel area).
Should you leave the lawn area, all packages, bags, etc. will be subject to inspection again upon re-entry. The checkpoints are necessary to safeguard all those in attendance at Bryant Park Movie Nights.

Movie Nights are almost always rain or shine, but:
- If it rains, the movie will go on and the lawn will be closed. Seating will be available in the gravel path surrounding the lawn and throughout the park. Bring your umbrella!
- If there are thunderstorms, the movie will be delayed or cancelled.
- FYI: we do not make a lawn or cancellation call until the day of the movie, and often later in the day. Conditions can quickly change. If weather is deemed dangerous, the park may close.

July 20: Good Morning, Vietnam (1987)
Starring Robin Williams, directed by Barry Levinson
Radio funny man Adrian Cronauer (Robin Williams) is sent to Vietnam to bring a little comedy back into the lives of the soldiers. After setting up shop, Cronauer delights the G.I.s but shocks his superior officer, Sergeant Major Dickerson (J.T. Walsh), with his irreverent take on the war. While Dickerson attempts to censor Cronauer's broadcasts, Cronauer pursues a relationship with a Vietnamese girl named Trinh (Chintara Sukapatana), who shows him the horrors of war first-hand.
July 27: The Truman Show (1998)
Starring Jim Carrey, directed by Peter Weir
He doesn't know it, but everything in Truman Burbank's (Jim Carrey) life is part of a massive TV set. Executive producer Christof (Ed Harris) orchestrates "The Truman Show," a live broadcast of Truman's every move captured by hidden cameras. Christof tries to control Truman's mind, even removing his true love, Sylvia (Natascha McElhone), from the show and replacing her with Meryl (Laura Linney). As Truman gradually discovers the truth, however, he must decide whether to act on it.
August 3: Bridget Jones’s Diary (2001)

August 10: Catch Me If You Can (2002)
Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks, directed by Steven Speilberg
Frank Abagnale, Jr. (Leonardo DiCaprio) works as a doctor, a lawyer and as a co-pilot for a major airline, all before his 18th birthday. A master of deception, he is a brilliant forger, whose skill gives him his first real claim to fame. At the age of 17, Frank Abagnale, Jr. becomes the most successful bank robber in the history of the U.S. FBI Agent Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks) makes it his prime mission to capture Frank and bring him to justice, but Frank is always one step ahead of him.
August 17: City of God (2002)
Starring Alexandre Rodrigues, directed by Fernando Meirelles and Katia Lund
In the poverty-stricken favelas of Rio de Janeiro in the 1970s, two young men choose different paths. Rocket (Alexandre Rodrigues) is a budding photographer who documents the increasing drug-related violence of his neighborhood. José "Zé" Pequeno is an ambitious drug dealer who uses Rocket and his photos as a way to increase his fame as a turf war erupts with his rival, "Knockout Ned". The film was shot on location in Rio's poorest neighborhoods.
August 24: KING CREOLE (1958)
Starring Elvis Presley, directed by Michael Curtiz
Denied his high school diploma because of a schoolyard fight, Danny Fisher (Elvis Presley) is unsure how he's going to support himself and his unemployed father (Dean Jagger). He briefly flirts with a life of crime before a club owner (Paul Stewart) hears him singing and offers him a job. Things look promising until rival club owner and Danny's former boss, Maxie (Walter Matthau), tries to lure him back with threats and the charms of his sometimes-girlfriend, Ronnie (Carolyn Jones).
August 31: No Country for Old Men (2007)
Staring Javier Bardem, Tommy Lee Jones and Josh Brolin, directed by Ethan Coen and Joel Coen
While out hunting, Llewelyn Moss (Josh Brolin) finds the grisly aftermath of a drug deal. Though he knows better, he cannot resist the cash left behind and takes it with him. The hunter becomes the hunted when a merciless killer named Chigurh (Javier Bardem) picks up his trail. Also looking for Moss is Sheriff Bell (Tommy Lee Jones), an aging lawman who reflects on a changing world and a dark secret of his own, as he tries to find and protect Moss.
September 7: Galaxy Quest (1999)
Starring Tim Allen and Sigourney Weaver, directed by Dean Parisot
The stars of a 1970s sci-fi show – now scraping a living through re-runs and sci-fi conventions –are beamed aboard an alien spacecraft. Believing the cast's heroic on-screen dramas are historical documents of real-life adventures, the band of aliens turns to the ailing celebrities for help in their quest to overcome the oppressive regime in their solar system.
September 14: Shakespeare in Love (1998)
Starring Joseph Fiennes and Gwyneth Paltrow, directed by John Madden
A romantic comedy for the 1990s set in the 1590s. It imaginatively unfolds the witty, sexy and timeless tale behind the creation of the greatest love story ever told. A young Shakespeare is out of cash and ideas; he meets his ideal woman and she inspires him to write one of his most famous plays.
