12 Years with Lionel Hampton’s Big Band

“He plays with soul!” - Lionel Hampton

Born in Tokyo, Japan, Kuni Mikami came to the United States in 1974 where he has been playing for many of the top big-bands ever since. Bands like Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway. Illinois Jacquet, and the New Lionel Hampton Orchestra to name but a few. His own trio will be performing in Japan this autumn.
