Celia Tewey (Jazz improvisation) is a musician and multi-instrumentalist based in NYC. She’s a pianist first and foremost, having studied both classical and jazz piano for over 19 years. Celia enjoys spending time creating music, improvising, and accompanying singers using layered sounds on guitar, bass, banjo, synth, and vocals, too! On her online platform, she creates videos surrounding the themes of jazz piano, improvisation, equipment reviews, and takes fan suggestions! Taking much of her style inspiration from greats like Oscar Peterson, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, and Vince Guaraldi, Celia’s performances are uniquely her own. Her selections of pieces are arranged by her and 100% improvised on the spot, tailored in the moment for each audience to enjoy.
