Talks on movies, the culture of cinema, and filmmaking.
Alfred Hitchcock called his audience a race of Peeping Toms, and with Rear Window, he proved it. Drawing on the original papers of Hitchcock, Jimmy Stewart, and Grace Kelly, and featuring exclusive interviews with the families and collaborators of those who made the film, Jennifer O'Callaghan's book reveals the fascinating, outrageous, and deeply human story behind one of Hollywood's greatest achievements.
Jennifer O'Callaghan is the author of Rear Window: The Making of a Hitchcock Masterpiece in the Hollywood Golden Age (Kensington/PRH). A journalist and broadcaster with a background in entertainment reporting for Metro News, Shaw TV, NYC-TV, and CKUA radio, she has interviewed some of the world's biggest names, including Meryl Streep, Liza Minnelli, and Will Ferrell. Her second book, on the making of Rosemary's Baby, is forthcoming from Kensington.
Scott Adlerberg is the author of five novels, including Graveyard Love, Jack Waters, and The Screaming Child. He has written many short stories and contributes pieces regularly to sites such as CrimeReads and Mystery Tribune. He was born in New York City and lives in Brooklyn.
