The Town Hall and Belongó: The Man with a Golden Horn
An all-star lineup of musicians – including Arturo O’Farrill and the Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra and slide trumpet master and arranger Steven Bernstein – perform the iconic music of James Bond films.
A very NYC celebration of John Barry's James Bond music: Arturo O'Farrill and the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra meet up with legendary Downtown composer, arranger and slide trumpet master, Steven Bernstein. Joining the festivities will be a variety of surprise guests to take a wild ride through the iconic music of 007. The classic James Bond scores will be shaken and stirred in an Afro Latin big band setting with a strong dose of NYC underground, and a nod to Charlie Palmieri's organ playing.

Richard Strauss and Isaac Stern made their US debuts at Town Hall. Marian Anderson gave her first New York recital there. Dizzy Gillespie and Charlie Parker debuted bebop to the world at Town Hall. America’s Town Meeting of the Air was one of the most celebrated and influential public discussion shows of the twentieth century, and featured guests as diverse as Eleanor Roosevelt, Langston Hughes, Richard Nixon, and Jackie Robinson. Town Hall continues to be a forum for the people—a welcome home of expression, education and exploration. In recent history, Town Hall welcomed Gilberto Gil, Joan Baez, Stephen Colbert, Jack White, Patti Smith, Larry David, Tig Notaro, Garrison Keillor, Ray LaMontagne, Ira Glass, and Neil deGrasse Tyson. They welcome welcome the Prairie Home Companion, New York Comedy Festival, and TED Talks. They welcome debuts and old favorites, tributes and experiment, collaborations and conversation. Town Hall welcomes thousands of public school children every year who participate in the Town Hall Arts in Education program.

Bryant Park Picnic Performances presented by Bank of America is a free outdoor festival that welcomes all New Yorkers to experience the city’s vibrant arts and culture. The series provides a platform for extraordinary artists and serves as a vital outdoor venue for a wide array of New York’s cultural institutions.
Bring your own picnic or purchase food and drinks from tents on the east side of the lawn. Attendees can enjoy cuisine from the five boroughs with a rotating line-up of artisanal vendors curated by Hester Street Fair.
Stout NYC also offers giant pretzels, gourmet popcorn and other light bites as well as a selection of beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages for purchase.
Bryant Park lends out hundreds of free blankets on a first-come, first-served basis, or bring your own cotton or fleece blanket. To protect the lawn, please do not sit on waterproof materials such as plastic tarps, yoga mats, or inflatable chairs.
Take a seat in one of the pre-set chairs on the lawn or grab a chair from the gravel. You can use a chair anywhere in the park except for the center lawn "blanket zone".
Find jugglers, hula hoops, giant Jenga, and more fun on the east side of the lawn at select events.
We love dogs, but dog urine can leave the lawn with bald spots. Dogs are welcome on the gravel and bluestone, but please do not bring dogs on the lawn.
