William Hogeland, The Hamilton Scheme: An Epic Tale of Money and Power in the American Founding

William Hogeland is the author of several books about the founding period, including Autumn of the Black Snake, Declaration, and The Whiskey Rebellion, as well as the essay collections Founding Finance and Inventing American History. He has been a contributor to The New Republic, Boston Review, Lapham’s Quarterly, and other magazines, and he publishes “Hogeland’s Bad History” on Substack.
