Yoga with Kosha Rakholia

Tuesday morning classes
July 29, 2025, 10:00am–11:00am

This summer, our free Tuesday morning yoga class is back on the Upper Terrace! Please register for each class and bring your own mat (the park does not provide yoga mats). We also recommend bringing water and a towel. Our yoga classes are appropriate for all levels of practice.

Kosha Rakholia is a certified South-Asian yoga instructor based in New York City. She teaches Hatha and Vinyasa yoga along with meditation rooted in tradition. Since the age of 10, she has been fascinated by the positive benefits of Classical Yoga and aims to bridge ancient wisdom with scientific concepts. Currently, she is a student at Columbia University pursuing her Master of Public Health and is passionate about innovating and advancing women's holistic, whole, and complementary and alternative health. Additionally, she serves as the co-founder of The Intentional Community and organizes creative events in NYC focusing on the interconnectivity of sustainability and well-being.

Kosha learned yoga from her Guru, Shashi Pottathil, the founder and owner of the Yoga and Meditation Center. She obtained her 200-hour Yoga Teacher certificate from there, adopting a decolonized framework that follows the 8 limbs of yoga and incorporates authentic yoga routines and techniques. Kosha prioritizes the mind-body-soul connection by emphasizing breathwork, yamas, guided meditation, mindful moments, asana, and balance. She is passionate about assisting others in discovering a routine that enables them to access their flow state, experience inner peace, and lead a more meaningful life.
