This summer, our free Wednesday evening yoga class is back on the lawn! Please register for each class and bring your own mat (the park does not provide yoga mats). We also recommend bringing water and a towel. Our yoga classes are appropriate for all levels of practice.
Sarah Platt-Finger is the Director of Chopra Yoga at Gaja Collective, and the co-founder of ISHTA Yoga, LLC. Deepak Chopra has called Sarah “an extraordinary teacher of yoga that has called enormously to my well-being.” She coauthored the book, Living in the Light: Yoga for Self-Realization with Dr. Chopra, which is a comprehensive map to growth, fulfillment, and consciousness. Sarah received her 500-hour Yoga certification in the ISHTA lineage in 2004 and was initiated as a Yoga Master by her husband, Kavi Yogiraj Alan Finger, in 2013. Since then, Sarah has made it her life’s purpose to share the authentic teachings of yoga worldwide. She helped develop one of the most renowned Yoga Teacher Training programs in New York City that expanded internationally to London, Sweden, Germany, Japan, and Australia. She most recently developed the Chopra Yoga 200-hour online Teacher Training course, which is accredited by Yoga Alliance and accessible in up to 85 countries. Sarah teaches weekly classes online and in person, pursuing her mission of helping others to find a home inside themselves. As a founding member of Exhale To Inhale, a non-profit organization that teaches trauma-informed yoga, Sarah’s classes share the values of healing, transformation, and self-empowerment. She believes that the practice of yoga can be used as a microcosm for the reality we create off the mat, and that a deeper awareness of our physical, mental, and emotional patterns can bring us closer to the essence of our being.
